Elwynn Forest is a vast woodland of stately hardwoods nestled in the continent of Azeroth, just below the foothills of the Burning Steppes to the north. The Redridge Mountains lie to the east, and Duskwood lies to the south across the Nazferiti river. It is the heartland of the human Kingdom of kingdom of Stormwind and consequently is the starting point of all human adventurers.
